At Monarch Dermatology & Surgery, we specialize and focus on the treatment and removal of a wide range of skin cancers, excisions, destruction, and benign lesion removals.

Mohs Micrographic Surgery

A state-of-the-art procedure for removal of large or aggressive skin cancers, or cancers located on cosmetically sensitive areas such as the head and neck. It is the most effective and advanced treatment for skin cancer today, offering cure rates of up to 99%. Mohs surgery consists of a precise technique that removes skin cancer in stages, allowing the Mohs surgeon to identify and remove the entire tumor while leaving the surrounding healthy skin unharmed and intact. It is the procedure of choice for large, recurrent, or aggressive cancers and cancers in cosmetically sensitive areas such as the face, scalp, ears, neck, shins, hands, and feet. The entire procedure is done safely in the office under local anesthesia.

Melanoma and Dysplastic Mole Surgery

Melanoma, the most serious of the three common skin cancers, is effectively treated with either a wide local excision or a modified version of Mohs surgery commonly referred to as "slow Mohs." Atypical moles are treated with excision.

Cyst/Lipoma Excisions

If you are bothered by symptomatic cysts or lipomas (isolated fatty tissue growths), these benign growths can be excised in the office under local anesthesia.

Nail Biopsy and Surgery

A variety of nail procedures can be performed in our outpatient surgical suites under local anesthesia. These include nail biopsies, removal of a portion, or all of the nail and chemical destruction of the nail growth plate for ingrown nails.

Reconstructive Surgery

Skin reconstruction is a highly advanced reconstruction technique to minimize scarring after your skin cancer has been removed.
